Through free web-based tools, QuickSolar enables solar professionals and homeowners to design a solar energy system on their rooftops, one solar panel at a time, and simultaneously receive accurate information about the system’s benefits. Contractors pay for access to “lead” information via an auction format. Previously known as "SOLarchitect," QuickSolar won $50,000 from the Idea Village Big Idea event in March 2012.

    Co-Founder

    Alex Landau has designed thousands of residential and commercial rooftop energy systems using remote imagery and drafting tools as Senior System Designer at South Coast Solar. He earned his Masters and Bachelors Degree in Architecture from Tulane University (M.Arch, B.A.) in 2009. His graphic design skills are instrumental to the front-end design and User Interface of the website.

    Co-Founder

    Scott Oman is a licensed Louisiana Electrical Contractor and NABCEP certified solar installer. His experience as CTO for South Coast Solar involved customer interaction, system optimization and monitoring, online lead generation, and website development & SEO. He brings over twenty years of experience in the industry, along with a rolodex of contacts from distributers to manufactures that will be vital to company growth.
