Paul Lyons, P.E., a licensed mechanical engineer and President of Zapotec Energy Inc. in Cambridge, MA, has extensive experience with all aspects of solar PV. Mr. Lyons was involved in the site assessment, system specification, plus construction supervision and startup for hundreds of projects in New England. Mr. Lyons holds a B.S. in engineering from Cornell Uni., an M.B.A. from the Uni. of New Haven, and an M.A. in Geography from Boston Uni.

Mr. Cowham is a licensed electrician, with over 10 years of experience in the field of alternative energy. A member of IBEW Local 103, he is a project manager for J&M Brown of Jamaica Plain, MA. After developing the prototype of the self-deployable solar generation system, he secured US patent number No. 14/626,701. His experiences coming of age in Zambia give him a valuable perspective on the logistical challenges of providing power worldwide.
