Alana Duerr has been researching the hydrokinetic resource potential of the Florida Current as a Ph.D. candidate in the Ocean Engineering Department of Florida Atlantic University (FAU). Her research is supported by the Southeast National Marine Renewable Energy Center at FAU (SNMREC). She has presented her research at numerous national and international conferences and is a member of the steering committee for the International Network on Offsho

Joseph Marquardt is a graduate student at FAU and has experience in project management and experimental testing. In addition to his engineering technical skills, he also has small business experience working actively in the development of his family’s company, Pino Gelato.

Daniel G. Bauer is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Public Administration concentrating on public-private partnerships; public financing; and environmental energy, climate and technology policy at FAU. Daniel has over 15 years international and domestic experience in green technology, renewable energy, and climate industry initiatives. Daniel is a frequent speaker at worldwide conferences on such issues.

David Jacobs received his Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies from the UCF, all while performing freelance marketing, consulting and business development. Daily duties have included managing social media, setting up Google AdWords PPC (pay-per-click) campaigns, management of retail websites, overseeing and implementing all print and online advertising initiatives and business strategy consulting.

Dr. Ravi Behara is an Associate Professor of Operations Management in the Department of IT & Operations Management in the College of Business at Florida Atlantic University. His current research interests include Computer Simulation, Unstructured Data (Text) Analysis and Social Network Analysis applied to problems in innovation management, customer/patient satisfaction and healthcare operations.

Karl von Ellenrieder is an Associate Professor in the Department of Ocean & Mechanical Engineering at Florida Atlantic University. His research interests include marine hydrodynamics and the development of unmanned maritime vehicles. He has worked extensively on the development, implementation and testing of complex systems and concept designs for the marine environment.
