Company Summary

Softcar is dedicated to the development of avant-garde technologies that enable vehicles with very low lifecycle environmental impact to be conceived. These innovations have first been integrated in the 3-wheeler electric vehicle prototype developed for the Group TOTAL. Softcar will now industrialise a 4-seater electric car that offers both the lowest ecological footprint ever reached by a commercial car and unprecedented competitiveness.

    Trained plastic engineer. Worked at Sony, Mecaplast Monaco, Tetrapak, before joining the Swatch Automotive team in August 1990, which then ventured with Volkswagen, MCC and Mercedes. He had a leading role in the global conception of the Smart car of Mercedes, before he co-founded Cree (1998), Domteknika (2003) and Softcar (2011). These companies are all active today and are dedicated to the development and production of electric vehicles.

    Trained physicist (1995) and energy engineer (2003). Currently strategic consultant in sustainable energy by E4tech, helping large corporates, finance sector and governments identify risk and opportunities in cleantech sector. Deep understanding of the energy challenge and of transition to a low carbon economy. 14 year experience as an entrepreneur. Board member of the Alternative Bank of Switzerland. Expert for the International Energy Agency.
