President Thomas Lavin is a Board Certified (Internal Medicine) Medical Doctor, a Biochemist, and serial entrpreneur. Dr. Lavin is a former university faculty endocrinologist at UC San Francisco, Duke, and Cornell. Dr. Lavin has served as a chairperson for national scientific meetings and worked as a reviewing editor for Science magazine, the Journal of Biological Science and other academic publications.

Rich Baker handles Business Development issues for SOEMS Corporation. He is also the President of New England Intellectual Property, LLC, an IP consulting firm. Mr. Baker spent 6 years as the Director of Intellectual Property for 3Com Corporation. Rich also spent 20 years at Schneider Electric as Director of Intellectual Property and in various engineering and program management positions. He is a Trustee for the Licensing Exec Soc.
