Company Summary

Short Hop provides private aviation with the most efficient VLJ: Eclipse, manufactured by Eclipse Aerospace, Inc. The jet seats up to five passengers, flies more than 400 mph at 41,000 feet, and burns 40% less fuel than similar aircraft. Short Hop is about 40% less expensive than NetJets. Short Hop will co-brand the service with Eclipse. Eclipse’s partner, North American Jet, will provide all “Part 135” management, including flight crew.

    Founder and CEO

    Short Hop’s founder and CEO is Justin Oberman, who has 14 years’ experience in aviation, including as an operating executive, management consultant, and finance specialist. He has extensive experience in business aviation, including with Eclipse. Justin was a senior executive at the U.S. Depts. of Transportation and Homeland Security, where he founded and ran an office of 150 employees, 400 contractors, four locations, and $150 million budget.
