    Writer/Producer Ray Starmann is a native of Lake Forest, Illinois, and a graduate of Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Starmann served as an Army Intelligence officer for eight years, including service in Cold War Germany and in the 1991 Persian Gulf War with the famed 7th Cavalry.
