Company Summary
We founded this company to solve the problem of dry skin, something we struggled with as a family for many years. We needed a natural and effective solution, so we started making our own balms and creams using Shea butter as a key ingredient. In West Africa, Shea butter is called Women’s Gold, because the proceeds from the sale of Shea butter help women feed, clothe and educate their children.
We have positioned our products to fill a gap in the market for the eclectic, savvy and luxury focused woman looking for natural products. We create products for the woman who reads ingredient labels, believes that less is more and that what you put on your skin should be good enough to eat. We craft products using clean and simple ingredients that resolve dry skin problems without the use of synthetic additives that are toxic to the body and harmful to the environment.
We currently carry 23 product SKU's - 10 Body Care products; 7 Hair Care products; 6 Pure Shea Butter products
Our business model is a hybrid of B2B and B2C.
B2B Model - Our pure shea butter products will be sold through a natural products distributor (Select Nutrition) giving us access to over 37,000 natural retail stores through out the US. Some of our products are currently being sold in Wholefoods and other independent retail chains.
We will also sell our luxury body care products directly to high end retail stores like Ulta and Sephora
B2C Model - We will sell direct to consumer through our web site and by employing various digital marketing strategies. We will also partner with online retailers who cater to our customer demographic.
Shea Radiance will be a global beauty brand that has as it’s core value making women feel beautiful and economically empowered.
