ShareACar is a realtime ride sharing app with a Map based UI. Users log in to this platform through their Google or Facebook account and post phone verification. Ride-sharers share their driving license too. App has an online wallet to facilitate fare sharing. ShareACar keeps a convenience fee which is a certain fraction of the ride amount, split across both users.

Today commuters are left with no choice other than crowded public transport or travelling in own cars/cabs which costs money. A luxury cab costs upto Rs 13.5 per km even when the advertised price is 7/- per km. Carpooling is something people have been trying since a long time but hasn't worked because people are ties up to their cotravelers and the independence of travelling is missing.

ShareACar is removing that element of impracticality from carpooling by introducing a comunity of verified carpoolers on a real-time platform
