Company Summary

Shamba Technologies is a British company formed in 2009 by Edward Matos (engineering graduate) and Oliver Kynaston (Physics graduate). The company started operation in Tanzania in 2010 and formed a wholly owned subsidiary (Shamba Technologies Tanzania Ltd) and developed several renewable energy designs including a domestic biodigester. In 2011 the company focused on Solar PV and developed a range of modular energy products.

    Director - Founder

    First Class Graduate of Physics at Bristol University.
    Joined Renewable Energy Systems in 2008 and worked as wind analyst for large wind projects.
    Started Shamba in 2009 and developed technical expertise in Biodigestion and Solar Dehyration. Worked as a consultant for Simgas a biogas company in Tanzania.
    Moved into solar development in 2011 and helped produce an innovate low cost modular solar product.
    Fluent in Kiswahili.

    Director - Founder

    Studied mechanical engineering at Bristol Uni. First Class degree. Founded Shamba Technologies. Lived in Tanzanian for 2 years and then moved to Shanghai to develop mass-manufacture expertise. Expertise in electronic engineering, manufacturing, design.
