Stephen, a registered architect and the product inventor, saw a need in the prevention of ligature (hanging) suicides for hospitalized patients during the 30 years he worked in facility design for at-risk patients. He worked with consulting engineers to develop a comprehensive door monitoring system that could reduce unnecessary patient death or injury and limit costly claims settlements. Thus began the S-Corporation, SentinelStop, Inc.

Lawrence is a registered architect with a well rounded career spanning 30 years in design and project administration. In the last 15 years with a national design/build firm, he completed projects ranging from $1M-$82M. As Director of Architecture he was responsible for projects nationally, including proposals, budgets, contracts, quality control and managed teams of up to 25. This is the second time Mr. Young and Mr. Wilz have been partners.

Susan is a licensed behavioral health nurse and MBA nurse administrator with 30 years experience. Her strong background in behavioral health began as a practicing nurse. Rising thru the ranks to Chief Operating Officer of CCS Healthcare, Inc. and most recently as the Executive Director for the Allina Mental Health system, rounds out the team.
