Our apps link customers and cleaners and payment is made to us in advance. After the job, we pay the cleaner $15-16 per hour and keep the spread. Our structure is to automate the marketplace with two independent (customer and helper) apps and us in the middle. Once a customer makes a request, it is posted to all helpers, who can choose on a first-come, first-serve basis. Both apps are free.
