Seguro Surgical, Inc. was formed in September 2009 to acquire from Johns Hopkins a license to develop and market a device for bowel packing in abdominal surgery. The device, Lap Pak, is designed to replace the use of cotton towels and sponges improving the efficiency and reducing the costs of open abdominal surgery. As towels are a major contributor to adhesion formation replacing cotton towels could also potentially improve patient outcomes.

Dennis has extensive medical device experience having, at Celsion Corporation, designed and led the development team for the market leading Prolieve Thermodilatation® device for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia from concept through commercialization. Dennis has also managed the development of heat based oncology devices at MicroFocus Industries and other programs at the Mayo Clinic, Division of Engineering and Technology services.
