We have a unique ability to integrate agricultural and design expertise to create productive, aesthetically pleasing gardens for homeowners and businesses wishing to participate in the local food movement.

  • Colin McCrate
    CEO and Founder

    Colin has more than 12 years of experience working in sustainable agriculture. An advocate of experiential education, his agricultural expertise comes from years of hands-on field learning on a variety of farm sites. Past projects include the design of educational and residential gardens, management of a 5-acre diversified vegetable farm, development of garden-based environmental education curriculum and small-farm consultation.

  • Brad Halm
    Installation Manager and Co-Founder

    Brad is an expert in agricultural practices and techniques. He has extensive knowledge of farm and garden construction, soil management and crop management. Before helping to found SUFCo, he managed operations at a 20-acre certified organic diversified vegetable farm in central Pennsylvania and taught farm-based environmental education.

  • Jessica Roundy
    Lead Designer and Business Development Manager

    Jessica received her Masters of Landscape Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design, where her work focused on process and collaboration across disciplines. In addition to farming, Jessica is passionate about urban forestry and environmental justice, working actively with the Green Seattle Partnership and Social Justice Fund NW.

  • Hilary Dahl
    Maintenance Manager and Media Specialist

    Hilary studied landscape architecture and urban planning at the University of Washington. During college Hilary worked on a sustainable, net-zero energy housing construction project on Lopez Island where she learned traditional and alternative construction skills as well as organic gardening methods. Hilary is the SUFCo in-house photographer and graphic designer.
