Seat Amigo™ is an app for mobile devices and desktop/laptop computers that allows Southwest Airlines passengers to choose another passenger on their flight to sit next to thereby avoiding someone random sitting next to them. This matching service can happen at any time before, or even on, the day of the flight. Seat Amigo takes the randomness, anxiety and rush to get a boarding pass out of the Southwest Airlines boarding process.

    Rusty Shaffer is the inventor of the Fretlight Guitar. Rusty invented the guitar in 1989, patented it and founded Optek Music Systems, Inc. Rusty went on to secure funding for Optek and in 2010, sold a majority stake in the company. Rusty left the company in February 2019 to pursue his Seat Amigo venture. Rusty has a law degree from Northeastern University, Boston, MA and a degree in mech. eng. and economics from the University of Connecticut.
