Scooter-Sharing has the potential to become the next megatrend in the share-economy, beacause there is a hughe gap in urban mobility between cars, public transportation and bikes. Scooters need less parking space, help to prevent traffic jams and to reduce CO2 and NOX emissions.

scoo mobility is an innovative mobility-provider with the first keyless free-floating (e-)scooter-sharing fleet worldwide. We rely completely on our own technology and therefore we offer as the first provider in the entire mobility industry, a registration process that is based entirely on digital technologies, incl. validation of the drivers license within the app in near-time, and thus a registration at the point of interest within a few minutes: 365 days and 24 hours per day and free of charge.

Due to our immense amount of datas we are also able to generate more mobility insights than any other none digital mobility-provider.

In the development of our digital mobility technology we are supported technically and financially by the European Space Agency "ESA Business Incubation Centre (BIC) Bavaria".

We operate our service scoo.me in Munich (Germany) since November 2014 and in Cologne (Germany) since November 2015. Our fleet actually includes 50 Vespa scooters and we've generated overall more than 3,300 registered users, 5,000 Rides and generate a significant higher price per ride-minute than our competition: in avg. 0.21 EUR per ride-minute, which means a turnover of 223 EUR in avg. per scooter and month (as per September 2015).

Team

  • Worked in various senior positions - most recently for the PAYBACK GmbH, a part of American Express. Further stations with leadership responsibilities included the United Internet Media AG, Bertelsmann Group and the provider of mobile marketing solutions YOC AG. As a marketing and sales specialist Magnus Schmidt focuses on holistic approaches digital value and already published several technical articles on the topic of digital communication.
