Company Summary

Despite efforts in public education, gaps are still increasing in areas of Math and Science. Public teachers are forced to teach to a 'test' and push students through even though they are not prepared for the next grade level. Our school will close these gaps by using various teaching methods and curriculum that will build a strong academic foundation that will prepare K-12 students for entrance into the most competitive colleges and careers.

    Five years ago, after receiving an MBA, I left corporate America to become a teacher. A profession I feel very passionate about. I began working toward a PhD in Educational Leadership and realized that teaching is very limited under the umbrella of public education. Along with another educator, I opened a tutoring company and a Science summer camp. I wrote and received the SES grant for tutoring minority children and continue to prosper.

    I am currently writing my dissertation which will provide a PhD in Business Technology. This along with the Masters in Education has allowed me to become a very successful educator. I have been teacher of the year, the Math Coach and a school leader for more than 12 years. Along with my co-teacher, I started a small tutoring company and a Science summer camp that has been very successful. These successes have prepared me for the leadership of SMI
