Company Summary

Scale Biofuel has developed a scalable, low cost and energy efficient production process for bioethanol with short term focus on developing countries to reduce the use of firewood and charcoal for cooking in especially Africa and India.

Currently we are constructing the first pilot plant in Uganda in collaboration with Uganda Industrial Research Institute, but need 300 KUSD to finalize the construction and prepare go to market.

    Dan Nilsson is Co-Founder and Managing Director of Scale Biofuel ApS. Dr. Nilsson brings over 16 years of strategic business development and research management experience to the company and in the fermentation industry in general for the last 25 years. Dr. Nilsson received his PhD degree in Microbiology from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark.

    Global Business Director

    Niels Thygesen brings over 25 years of international experience in project development and management. In the recent years Mr. Thygesen has focused activities towards the development of the “Bio-Economy”. Mr. Thygesen has a degree in Biology (M.Sc.) and Chemistry (B.Sc.) from the University of Copenhagen and holds an Executive MBA (Master in Management of Technology) from the Technical University of Denmark.
