Daniel has been suffering from chronic pain for a number of years and he had to go through an odyssey of doctor visits and treatments. It was at this time that the idea for CatchMyPain was born. He developed an initial prototype of the system in the course of his master thesis at the Department of Informatics at the University of Zurich. Right after having finished his studies at the end of 2010, he started working full-time on CatchMyPain.

Roman has a MSc degree in Computer Science and he worked as a professional software engineer and system manager in an eLearning start-up for over 4 years. He has experience in areas such as software architecture, development, continuous integration and Linux system administration. He took his first entrepreneurial steps implementing various IT projects as a part-time employee at a private bank and as a self-employed person.
