SAMETRICA is a rare combination – We have a scalable, profitable business, combined with social purpose. We are a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) social impact reporting firm. Governments, foundations, and corporations use our product to assess and demonstrate the impact that their funding and social responsibility initiatives have on communities.

Anshula is an expert in impact reporting. She sat on the founding board of Social Value Canada, the body for impact reporting accreditation.
At 16, she led QA for a Silicon Valley startup that provided financial portfolio reporting. She also worked as an organic farmer in Jamaica. In India she created educational toolkits for children of sex workers.
She founded a micro-financing project in 2010 and assisted with scaling it to a capital fund.

Chief Technology Officer
Angad is an experienced software architect and full stack developer and has scaled teams from 1 to 10 developers. He has worked in public and private sector environments, including the Canadian Department of Defense and start-ups. Angad has acquired deep and broad expertise in web technologies, and also strong managerial capabilities. Angad has developed SAMETRICA's platform from the ground up, front-end and back-end.

Tawfiq AbdulaiOntology Engineer
Tawfiq has completed a Masters at the University of Toronto in Information Science. He works to create, maintain, and grow SAMETRICA's in-house ontology and knowledge representation. Prior to joining SAMETRICA, Tawfiq's research was in using indicators to measure the sustainability of cities.

Machine Learning Engineer, NLP Specialist
Negin Nahoomi specializes in Natural Language Processing (NLP) at SAMETRICA. Negine has completed a Masters at Guelph University in Computer Science. She works to create, maintain, and grow SAMETRICA's in-house natural language processing and machine learning capabilities. Before joining SAMETRICA, her research was been in the area of corporate social responsibility and use of NLP to analyse this information.
