Rock Your Block is a web and mobile platform that helps 13 – 24-year-olds search and apply to jobs based on their location and interests. Employers post tasks and jobs and find local young talent to help them fill their position. For tasks posted by individual neighbors, the users can pay teens directly through Rock Your Block using secure peer-to-peer payment. Businesses use Rock Your Block as a recruiting platform and pay per job listing.

She started out consulting for New Boundary Technologies, specializing in SaaS & M2M solutions, and she worked in mobile business development for NativeX. Sarah has always been passionate about working with youth, and she worked 4 years as a high school track & field pole vault & high jump coach. She has worked full-time on RYB for 3 years.

    Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer

    20+ years experience as Senior Programer and Technical Business Analyst for MindWare and Apte, Inc.. Built games and interactive tutorials on Windows, MacOS and Wireless platorms. John is the founder for the Twin Cites iPhone Developers Group. His development skills include PHP, .NET, SQL, HTML/CCS, JavaScript, Objective C, Ac'onscript, and an array of other programming languages. John graduated from Northwestern University in Computer Studies.

    Community Outreach Director

    Receiving many community service awards as a teen herself, including the Hugh O'Brien Youth Foundation Award, Caryn brings 20+ years of teaching experience to Rock Your Block. Caryn has taught both typical students and children with special needs; ranging from infants all the way to college level students. Caryn is also proficient in teaching American Sign Language.
