But a variety of constantly shifting economic factors influence an individual’s ability to donate. Costly one-off events and donor over-solicitation challenge traditional fundraising efforts for non-profit organizations and celebrity supporters alike. In response to these challenges, Ripple has created a mobile charitable giving platform that takes advantage of social media behaviors of today’s 80 million Millennials to generate monetary donations without requiring actual dollars from donors.

Ripple’s business model generates donations through advertising and brand sponsorship revenue; simply put, we are in the right space at the right time. In 2014, $8.5B was spent on advertising on social media sites (55% on mobile); by 2018 this number is projected to exceed $14B (66% on mobile). We are mobile first with an iOS application available in the Apple AppStore and a web-share platform that enables sharing of Ripple content across social media for additional monetization.

The Company has a three-tiered approach to content, ensuring timely, relevant and unique content for our users: 1) Celebrity partners create and post content directly on Ripple, 2) Ripple creates a curated content feed utilizing social listening tools to post the latest in trending topics regarding our celebrity partners, news and pop culture content is produced packaging a celebrity partner and a major brand for broadcast on Ripple. This content and the underlying data are managed by Ripple’s proprietary content management system. The company’s revenue model is comprised of traditional and native digital advertising, brand sponsored channels and campaigns, sponsored brand integration packages and revenue sharing with other publisher networks. Additional revenue sources including ecommerce and data monetization will be pursued in the future.
