Tom Nix, leads Ria Health's mission to help the more than 30 million adults who want a private and safe way to reduce or stop their drinking. Previously, Tom was CEO at Scala, Inc., transforming the company into the global leader in consumer engagement technology resulting in the sale in 2016. Tom completed Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business EPGC and served as the distinguished guest entrepreneur for Fordham Business School.

David Deacon is a cofounder of Ria Health and leads the efforts to scale Ria’s practice operations. David has founded and built four companies with two M&A exits. David was an experimental scientist developing laser technology at Stanford and CEA in Paris, France. David graduated from Stanford with a PhD in Physics, and from MIT with a BS degree in Electrical Engineering and a BS degree in Physics.

Dr. John Mendelson, co-founder of Ria Health and an Addiction Medicine specialist who conducts NIH- and industry-funded clinical research and maintains an active clinical practice. Dr. Mendelson studies contributed to the FDA approval of Suboxone, medication for the treatment of opiate addiction. He has conducted clinical trials seeking new treatments for alcohol, cocaine and opiate addiction. Dr. Mendelson is a graduate of UCSF Medical School.

Bob Nix, co-founder of Ria Health where he leads product development. Before Ria Health, Bob spent nine years at athenahealth where, as VP of R&D and Principal Architect, he was responsible for mobile development at Epocrates and the development teams for athenaOne. Bob has served as CTO for more than four startups and has gone through two IPO's. Bob has a BA in Mathematics from Rutgers, a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Yale.

Prior to Ria Health, Jen was the CFO of BrightFarms, produce supply chain start-up. She has been CFO of Scala, Inc., an enterprise consumer engagement SaaS platform, Operations Leader, Digital Media and Chief Privacy Officer for NBC Universal. VP, Financial Planning & Analysis at JPMorganChase. Senior financial and operational positions within GE and its subsidiaries. Jen holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Marquette University.
