He has held various leadership positions at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) California Institute of Technology, where he currently leads lunar robotic mission formulation, including the recently launched GRAIL mission which is currently orbiting the Moon.

    Senior member of the technical staff at the JPL. Focuses on power electronics circuits for space applications. Mr. Vorperian recently received NASA honor award: The Exceptional Service Medal. He received this honor for his sustained service to the NASA mission through the design and development of innovative power conversion systems. He holds a PhD from Caltech.

He was director of Engineering and senior engineer at two battery companies and has experience in process automation and quality.
