Midstream Oil and Gas operators must meet federal requirements for periodically patrolling pipeline right-of-way for construction encroachments and signs of leaks. Currently, this is done at intervals as infrequently as once per year. We increase patrol effectiveness, and decrease cleanup cost, by augmenting aerial pipeline patrol using automated change detection on daily remote sensing satellite and aerial imagery.
