Rakel is the Founder and CEO of Skema. She has a Bsc. degree in computer science and two years into a Bsc. in psychology. Prior to Skema, Rakel worked as a senior programmer for the Icelandic Social Insurance Administration and as a software developer for Mentis where she oversaw all database development. Thorunn has BSc in Business from Reykjavik University. She was Co-Founder, Product Manager, and later, CEO of Fafu ehf. in Iceland, which was recently sold to a UK based company earlier this year as well as a promotional product company that failed miserably in 2008. She co-founded KORKA – a network of women in business and entrepreneurship in Iceland and established an innovation committee within the Association of Business Women in Iceland.
