Company Summary

Founded by veterans of both highly commercial social games and experimental independent game development, Real Filling is working on its flagship product, a social game where players can work together cultivating a complex, permaculture-style farm. Through the game, we plan on introducing players to local food producers, products like organic fertilizer, and investment opportunities in small farms looking to expand.

Team

  • Patrick Buchanan Dugan
    Founder & Product Officer

Patrick's first business, out-of-locker videogame rentals, was shut down by The State at age 12. He tried again at age 21 and has spent 6 years developing games with teams in Argentina, was an early Vostu employee, and since consulted on social game economics for Crowdstar, Kixeye, Pixowl, King and Idle Media. Loves good food, climbing ridges, balancing chaotic fractal systems, storytelling, financial engineering and family time - combined.

  • John Harris
    Co-Founder and Scientist

John began coding at age 10 and developing Commodore 64 games soon after. He's a software engineering veteran of two decades, and has been an avid independent game developer for the past 4 years. For balance, he recently attained an MA in English Literature. He enjoys experimenting with cellular automata and other complex systems, analyzing HP Lovecraft and Peanuts (though only occasionally simultaneously) and playing German-style boardgames.
