We use our novel anticancer drugs to treat pets (dogs and cats) with cancer, as a means of helping these cancer patients and to help decide which drugs to move forward to humans. Our team has used this model to move one drug, called PAC-1, into the clinic. PAC-1 is now being taken by cancer patients at UIC and Johns Hopkins in a clinical trial. We plan to recapitulate this success with another class of compounds in Quintessential Oncology.
