Company Summary

Don’t you ever wonder why there is no global patient health record? Why do all this health apps have there own database? Can the data generated by wearables and various health apps can be trusted and are they actually being used by caregivers? Why is the patient still not in control of his own health?

Healthcare and clinical research are currently going through drastic changes driven by the wealth of vital data that will be generated by patients who will be claiming their more central, empowered role.

Patient data is now fluid and constantly changing and includes such diverse data sets such as “real time” vitals monitoring, mood, behavior, quality of life and location which patients allow to be accessed by trusted providers at their own initiative, during the monitoring of their treatment between doctor’s visits or as a participant in a clinical research program.

The problem that today’s Life Sciences organizations are encountering is that the current data environment is siloed in proprietary systems which requires various providers to constantly duplicate patient data sets. Physicians and health care organizations therefore do not have access to real time data sets, review and respond to provide the highest quality of care and research organisations don’t trust the data that is generated in the current systems.

Nevertheless, these patient-generated data are enormously important for all the research/healthcare stakeholders. Therefore there is a need for one open modular system that captures patient- generated data and validates them so that they can be trusted by care-givers and researchers for which the qointa system offers all functionalities to initiate a clinical trial.

Our system will initially be used by pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, medical record providers, biotech companies and CRO’s and will initiate the following programs with our system:
•Patient Support Programs
•Medication Therapy Management programs •Patient Compliance programs
•Disease Management Programs
•Patient Reported Outcome Surveillance programs •Clinical Research Programs in phase I, II, III and IV •In-life testing

Slowly our product will be adopted by patients directly as their trusted source of patient data that helps them in their disease management and is not just seen as a data depository as most personal health records (PHR) are today. Once the system will be used by a magnitude of patients it will also become very interesting for insurance companies and governmental agencies.

In today's highly competitive cost-conscious world, life science organizations — and health related organizations across — are looking internally for assets of value. There is never justification for the recreation or purchase of data and information that already exists.

This innovative approach towards healthcare and clinical research is made possible by the well-planned system of qointa and is also ideal to globally manage rare diseases.
