Company Summary

Pedia Ventures was formed to design, patent and market both medical and consumer products that provide optimal solutions for infants. Our core platform delivery system solves the currently flawed method of delivering small doses of orally dispensed liquids to infants. In sum, we have created a next generation platform delivery system that will be adopted by both hospitals and parents.

    Managing Member

    Brian has 12 years of diverse work experience. He spent a majority of his time working in New York with firms such as Lehman Brothers Asset Management, Banc of America Securities and at a private debt focused hedge fund. Brian’s experience includes analyzing healthcare investment opportunities in Asia and entrepreneurial opportunities in Brazil. Brian received his MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management.

  • Brad Oates
    Managing Member

    Brad's a graduate of the Thunderbird School of Global Management. Before Thunderbird, Brad guided a variety of businesses through the start-up and turnaround phase with a Dallas, TX based Private Equity firm. After Thunderbird, Brad worked as a medical device consultant for Johnson & Johnson serving the San Diego area. In less than five months, he won two of J&J’s highest awards, including the prestigious Top Gun sales award.

  • Jae Kim
    Medical Advisor

    Dr. Jae Kim, MD, PHD, Dr. Kim is uniquely dually appointed in the Divisions of Neonatology and Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at UCSD. Dr. Kim is also the Nutrition Medical Director of an innovative multidisciplinary program to advance premature infant nutrition at UCSD. Additionally, he is Chairman of Medela’s Medical Advisory board and a current Board Executive of the California Association of Neonatologists.

  • J.P. Millon
    Board Advisor

    Mr. Millon is the retired former President and Chief Executive Officer of PCS Health Systems, Inc. (PCS). Prior to working at PCS Mr. Millon worked at Eli Lilly for 23 years. Mr. Millon previously served on the board of Caremark Rx, Inc. from March 2004. He became a director of CVS Caremark upon the closing of the CVS/Caremark merger. He also has extensive venture capital and public company board experience.

  • Chuck Dorsey
    Board Advisor

    Chuck is President & CEO of Minnesota based Halo Innovations (producer of Halo SleepSack for infants). Chuck joined HALO in June 2003 with over 25 years of experience in marketing and general management. Previously, he served as President of Select Comfort Direct Corporation. Under his leadership, Select Comfort grew from a company with less than $1 million in revenue in 1992 to total company revenues of $275 million in 1999.
