Company Summary

PGS, a startup company incubated at UC Davis, has developed software to reduce the energy usage of Internet routers by over 50%, thus saving over $15Billion per year in electricity cost. We do so by consolidating traffic at light loads over few active components such as line cards in routers, and then shutting down the inactive components. Our customers are enterprises and network operators who own and operate the 4 million routers worldwide.
