Protect is a UCLA based spinoff Biotech Company that is focused on a Hematopoietic Stem/Progenitor Cell (HSPC) based gene therapy can be used to treat many infectious and genetic diseases; such as HIV, Human papillomavirus (HPV) and Epstein-Barr virus (EBV). They have completed first generation animal testing and have started a second round of animal test to confirm the results. After which would apply and start the required FDA human trials.
