Company Summary
Proa Medical’s mission is to become a global leader in innovative medical devices for women’s health:
--Building a global business with plans to offer a complete catalog of women’s health medical devices: innovative patented products from universities and “branded generic” devices.
--Bridging the gap between unmet needs and larger manufacturers and distributors worldwide who are seeking new technologies to fill their product pipelines.
--By a dynamic, professional team that efficiently handles most functions in-house with robust infrastructure.
Proa has a patented, FDA-cleared product with positive clinical feedback and initial hospital orders ready for scale-up. Several additional OB-GYN products are in development.
Proa has support from the Alfred Mann Institute for Biomedical Engineering at the University of Southern California, a medical device accelerator, from whom Proa licensed 11+ technologies.
Proa has a lean operation, having built a business that can take certain quick to market medical devices from concept to full-GMP manufacturing and FDA clearance in 12-18 months per device.
Proa has raised $1.1 million in capital and has demonstrated a low burn rate far below the industry average for medical device companies.
