Building on 20 years of experience in the design and realization of Planar-Lightwave-Circuits (PLC) on silicon wafers, Dr. Duer is a visionary who engaged in building a next generation bio-sensing platform bridging between the semiconductor fab industry and Point-of-Care medical diagnostics.

    Founder & VP

    Sr. Director, New Technologies & Reagents Business at Alere (Biosite) until 2014, involved in several product development projects that led to both regulatory submissions and new product launches. Brian's expertise covers a broad range of activities germane to diagnostics including: early R&D, assay development, reagent design/development, design controls, transfer to manufacturing, V&V, regulatory submissions, and optical instrumentation.
