A graduate of Phillips Academy Andover and Vanderbilt University, Ms. Ortega began her career in education more than twenty years ago as an English Literature teacher. She founded PREPWORKS in 2005 after developing a synergistic approach that today is the foundation of the PREPWORKS methodology. Her experience helps guide instructional methodology and ensure that all programs accurately reflect the most effective pedagogical practices.

CTO Michael Penney has served in senior technology management at several educational technology companies, managing software product development since 2007 and executing innovative e-learning projects for companies such as Google, Cisco, Intel, and Scholastic. Prior to that he created online learning systems and managed online courseware development at California State University. His business and technology acumen are a major asset.

With over 20 years’ experience as a CFO, Mr. Martin brings the financial acumen and operational talents to PREPWORKS. Mr. Martin has worked with a then Big 8 International accounting firm, a diversified Fortune 200 Company, growing technology companies, a national retail chain and a highly regarded training organization. His experience includes planning, treasury and accounting and he has both a BS in Accounting and a MBA in Finance.
