Company Summary

Pragya Systems Corp. has created Learning Streams, a powerful app powered by IBM Watson that enables students to personalize their learning in a way that directly aligns with employer inputs and opportunities and manage all their activities (on-campus coursework, internships, mentor contacts, events, clubs) in a single place. 60% of student dropouts are because of perceived lack of engagement of the college in their learning. Internships have been growing steadily over the past few years and over 50% of interns get hired for full-time opportunities. However, campuses have poor visibility to student engagement outside of coursework leading to late detection of students at risk of dropping out. Furthermore, students have no way of aligning their learning with job needs and campus services like Planning/Advising and Career Services are disconnected leading to graduates not being able to find the right jobs and employers unable to find the right talent. Learning Streams help solve these problems by:

a) Personalizing learning to improve student engagement in a way that makes campus education more relevant to employers.
b) Enabling integration of on-campus coursework with off-campus experiences, connections and employer opportunities.
c) Providing deep insights on student activities and employment for administrators and employers.

Students can carry their Learning Streams with them after they graduate, serving as a life-long learning pathway that can be updated and shared. This provides campuses with deep 360o insights into student activities on-campus as well as a new window into alumni learning that helps drive tighter alumni connections and continuing education. Campuses can create employer-aligned micro-tracks that students may personalize. Since students, graduates and alumni can manage their learning, share and connect with contacts in one place, Pragya in essence serves as a “Linkedin for Learning”.

Pragya’s technology is a synthesis of deep knowledge of ed-tech, modern mobile/content solutions and cutting edge search technology powered by IBM-Watson. Pragya’s Learning Streams is a cloud-based solution with a simple per-user pricing that plugs into existing infrastructure (LMS, SIS, Career Services etc.) in minutes. It unifies diverse campus services – a $0.75B recurring revenue opportunity. By unlocking campus systems and providing students with a single personalized platform to manage their learning and contacts, Pragya facilitates a marketplace for content and jobs – a $3B revenue opportunity.
