We have developed and patented a power-split, infinitely variable transmission for use in electric vehicles, elevators and wind turbine generators which can steplessly vary the speed from reverse to neutral to forward and overdrive. It permits the use of smaller and less expensive motors always running at optimal speed for efficiency and power, which lowers the cost and improves the performance of the system to which it is applied.
