We advocate for everyone’s access to a healthy and nutritious diet by offering Gourmet Empanadas and Yerba Mate Beverages. We source our organic Yerba Mate from small cooperatives in Argentina and our empanadas are made at our second location, a small factory in Brooklyn.

  • Founder & CEO

    Carmen Ferreyra is an entrepreneur with experience in start-ups: in 2015 she founded a thriving non-profit organization, the Curatorial Program for Research, which has spread from Brooklyn to over twenty cities around the world, from Bogotá, Colombia to Tromsø, Norway. She has directed eleven international art fairs in New York, Miami and London, budgeted at $2,000,000, supervising staff of 50+ people.

  • Chef and Co-Founder

    Fernanda is a chef, sommelier, chocolatier and restauranteur that brings to Porteñas over 20 years of experience. She has worked as maître of the internationally renowned Los Notros Hotel, at the Perito Moreno Glacier in Patagonia; was the Academic Assistant Director at Gato Dumas School, the most prestigious chef academy in Argentina; and since 2010 she runs her own restaurant, Raíces, which specializes in traditional Argentine food.
