PledgeCents is the K-12 social impact marketplace that is unlocking a new viable funding solution to connect technology to classrooms. Through our marketplace, we are acting as a distribution channel for EdTech vendors to convert their new or free users into paying customers. We have 40 vendors in our marketplace.

Since inception, 1,800+ schools in 50 states have signed up. More than $700k has been raised helping over 450k students nationwide.

  • CFO & Co-Founder

    Ricky received his undergraduate degree from University of Texas - McCombs Business School with a major in Finance and minors in Accounting and Spanish. Ricky worked for the Royal Bank of Scotland in their Energy Advisory group for almost 4 years prior to PledgeCents. His experience comes from finance, banking, accounting, and business operations.

  • CEO & Co-Founder

    Andyshea received his undergraduate degree from Rhodes College with a major in Business Administration (focused on Marketing). He then went on to receive his Masters from the Conrad Hilton College for Hotel & Restaurant Management - University of Houston. Andy has had over 8 years of experience in the luxury hospitality industry as well as 2 years of experience as a high school coach.

  • Director of Partnerships

    Kevon received a degree in Business Management and Entrepreneurship from the University of Arizona and completed the Entrepreneurship Program at the McGuire Center. He moved to Memphis to teach fifth grade math and science as a 2013 Teach For America Corps Member. Kevon's experience comes from startup development as well as educational policy and practice.

  • Social Media Manager

    Heather received her undergraduate degree from Shippensburg University with a major in Education. Heather is a classroom teacher in the School District of Philadelphia. She has over 4 years of experience as a classroom teacher. Her experience comes from classroom management, social media marketing, and school/district policy understanding.

  • Lead Developer

    Whether it's teaching children how to think computationally, adults how to build web applications, or other developers to think architecturally, Kelvin has a dedication to simplifying complex systems to help others understand. It's the experiences since his entry into the field 3 years ago that inform it. Since then he's worked on projects ranging from building & connecting APIs with mobile devices to writing full stack applications from scratch.
