Team

  • Greg Pallis

Greg Pallis, founder and lead programmer, graduated from Wadham College in 2005 with first class honours. Five years of teaching led to the product that became PlayBrighter, and enabled him to research the market.

In June 2011 Greg left his teaching job to dedicate his full time to PlayBrighter. Greg's experience of the early reception of the PlayBrighter product has left him confident of its success and he has invested £40,000 in the company.

  • Richard Brown

Richard Brown graduated from Peterhouse with first class honours. He taught English in a technical school in a deprived suburb of Paris and knows the challenges of getting demotivated teenagers to want to learn.

Richard is responsible for the educational content of the site: recruiting freelancers to set questions and monitoring the output, and producing original material in his own areas of expertise. He also manages admin and finance.

  • Steve Downie

Steve Downie graduated from King's College, Cambridge, with first class honours, and has worked both as a localiser and translator of video-games content, and as an EFL teacher in China and Russia.

Steve is responsible for the sales and marketing of PlayBrighter, creating fresh leads and following up existing contacts, demonstrating the website to interested schools, and ultimately for closing the deals.
