30+ years of venture capital experience nurturing and supporting start-up companies as BioRexis, Immunicon (NASDAQ: IMMC), HealthSouth Rehabilitation (NYSE: HLS), GlycoMimetics, Sensors for Medicine & Science, Apple Computer (NASDAQ: AAPL), Chucky Cheese (NYSE: CEC), and Sequoia Software (NASDAQ: SQSW). Prior to his venture capital career, Gust was with First Boston and L.F. Rothschild in security analysis and investment banking.

Strong background in molecular and cell biology; 10 years with Meso Scale, Covance and Luminex prior to Plasmonix. Deep experience in research & development, customer support, project management, solution-based product design, assay design and hands-on, direct interface with customer scientists.

17 years in senior operating positions in life science companies such as Life Technologies, Thermo Fisher, In Vitro Technologies and Bioarray Solutions. In addition, important experience in imaging during the years he spent with Leica, where he was involved in the design and manufacturing of diagnostic systems.
