  • Dr. David Shelton
    CEO / President

    Dr. Shelton has developed infrared systems and metamaterials since 2005 with Dr. Glenn Boreman.

    After completing his Ph.D. in 2010, Dr. Shelton founded Plasmonics Inc. to continue that work.
    To date, Plasmonics has won over $6M in government contracts to develop (primarily) military systems w/in these field. This includes $1.75M to continue development of the proposed technology.

  • Dr. James Ginn
    CTO / Vice President

    Dr. Ginn graduated from UCF with his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering. He has carried out research in infrared planar focusing surfaces, polarized thermal emission surfaces, low-power rf energy harvesting, and genetic algorithm optimization of microwave antenna devices and authored over 50 journal articles on these topics.
    He currently specializes in numerical analysis of electromagnetic structures, optical ellipsometry, and nano-fabrication.

  • Nathan Post
    COO

    Mr. Post earned an MBA from the Crummer Graduate School Business with an emphasis in entrepreneurship. With his help, the company is prepared to transition from solely R&D to commercial markets.
    Since joining the team in January 2013, he has aided company growth from 4 to 12 employees while increasing annual revenue 300% to $1.5M in 2013.

  • Dr. Glenn Boreman
    Chairman of Board

    Dr. Boreman was Trustee Chair Professor of Optics, Electrical Engineering, Material Science and Physics at CREOL. He is presently the Chairman of the Department of Physics and Optical Science at UNC Charlotte. He has published more than 150 articles in the areas of infrared detector and focal-plane analysis, optics of random media, infrared scene projection, and transfer-function techniques. He is a Fellow of SPIE, the Optical Society of America
