Sit to pee, squat to poo, colon cancer shoo, shoo!
In developed countries (except Japan), where the sitting toilet is universal, incidence of colorectal cancer is high. Frequent constipation increases the risk of colon cancer. Adopting the squatting posture during defecation reduces constipation because the ano-rectal angle is straightened thus allowing stools to pass out more smoothly. However, some people (eg elderly, disabled) are unable to squat. Our sit-squat toilet caters to both needs.
