John founded Picomole in 2005. He invented Laser Infrared Sample Analysis, and built one of the world’s largest databases for breath analysis. John was named one of the Top 50 Most Influential Albertans by Alberta Venture magazine (2009) and was profiled in Progress magazine’s People We Love (2013). John earned his PhD in Physics from the University of Toronto, and was awarded a National Research Council Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at NIST.

Chris holds a degree in Engineering Physics from U. Alberta. He has worked for successful hi-tech startup companies including AFC Technologies, acquired by JDS Uniphase in 2000 and Dowslake Microsystems which produces innovative optical network equipment. Chris spent several years working in Shanghai, China as the Director of Operations for Dowslake which often required him to “bridge the gap” whether it be language, culture, or ideology.

Mike received his LL.B. and LL.L. at the U. Ottawa and his B.A. and B.Comm. at Saint Mary's University. Prior to joining Picomole, Mr. Tripp was General Counsel and an officer of a TSX-V listed company with international operations. Before this, Mike practiced law in the Toronto office of a national law firm. Experienced in securities law and M&A, he has acted on transactions with an aggregate value in excess of $3 billion.
