PROBLEM - Consumers are frustrated with the traditional process of shopping for a new car.
How frustrated?
- Visits to dealerships have dropped by more than half in less than 10 years.
- More than half of consumers would buy a car more often if the car buying process were improved.
The auto industry is literally shooting themselves in the foot by doing little to improve the traditional sales process; and there is no meaningful change in sight.
Here’s why consumers hate the traditional car shopping process so much.
Today, consumers finally enter a dealership near the end of their decision making process in order to discover two necessary bits of information:
1. Does the dealer have the car they want in stock, with the options and in the color they are looking for.
2. What is the car going to actually cost them – which feels like an unknown target as they attempt to negotiate what they hope is a fair price.

What consumers want to avoid, is the experience they have while trying to discover this basic information.
1. They want to avoid the unreasonably long process.
2. They want to avoid the salesman interaction – because of the feeling of mistrust and the pressure they feel to buy.
3. They want to avoid the negotiation process.

Leapfrog has created a completely new car shopping experience that addresses these consumer pain points and positions us to capitalize on this massive market opportunity.

HOW IT WORKS - Leapfrog technology directly accesses multiple brands of dealer inventory and pricing systems in real time, aggregates the data from dealers, and presents it in an online platform for consumers.
The first step allows consumers to shop live inventory from multiple dealer inventory systems at the same time to find the car they want without having to enter a dealership.
Next the consumer discovers pricing insight they need in order to make a buying decision. They see MSRP, Dealer Cost, Incentives, and Finance Rates. They also see what we call Insider Pricing, which is the price range that dealers are willing to sell this car for. 
In the final step, the consumer can make an offer online.  Our system instantly determines if the car is available at the price they have offered. 
If the offer is accepted, Leapfrog automatically removes the car from the dealers inventory system and places it on hold for the consumer.
This process allows the consumer skip the salesman and all of the pain points of traditional car shopping experience. They only go to the dealer to sign the paperwork and pick-up the car.  
HOW WE MAKE MONEY - Dealers gladly pay us $399 per sale we deliver, which is roughly a third the cost of acquiring a customer using traditional methods
