Pi facilitates credit purchases on its network by providing a mobile application for consumers. For a credit purchase, Pi would convert dollars into an equivalent, fiat backed cryptocurrency (e.g. TrueUSD), which would be sent to the merchant's account before being converted back into dollars. Pi would receive 1% of these purchases, a rate far below the industry average.
