First there were primary care physicians and emergency departments. Then there were urgent care centers and, in some states, free-standing ERs. Predictably, with the advent of smartphones and tablets along with increased internet bandwidth, telemedicine has found its way into the continued search to make health care more convenient to both health care providers and patients alike. What's next?

Well, the three co-founders of Physician 360 believe we have the answer to that question. Before we answer that question, we'd like to propose another. Why is it that, despite the plethora of telemedicine companies out there right now, none of them is a household name? Through customer discovery, we know this is due to the fact that the health care providers associated with telemedicine companies have do diagnostic testing available to them. They base their diagnoses and treatments solely on a discussion, and this results in a lack of confidence on behalf of the patients.

Often times, patients end up needing costly in-person physician visits in order to get an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment. Physician 360 has developed a proprietary, patent-pending strep and flu swab that will allow patients to experience telemedicine like never before. In the near future, patients will have the ability to swab themselves or their family members, and get a prescription if appropriate, all without even leaving the comfort of the family room.
