Kumaril joined PHRQL and relocated to Pittsburgh from Silicon Valley in February 2012. Prior to PHRQL, Kumaril was developing his own mobile solutions for diabetes self-management, and has 10 years experience with Cisco Systems Inc., where he was a Sr. Software Engineer. Kumaril has a BS and MS in Computer Science, and a MS in Software Management from Carnegie Mellon University.

Paul was an original member of the PHRQL team at Carnegie Mellon University, and he brings an outside perspective to health care delivery models. Paul has experienced health care systems in 6 countries and spent 20 years in a process industry where he improved business processes using lean & 6 sigma concepts, and held various exec management positions across the globe. He has a Mech Engineering undergrad and MBA from Carnegie Mellon.

Jon was the CFO and founding board member of WellDoc, one of the early success stories in digital health, where he helped them raise over $30 million in angel funding, as well as close its most recent institutionally led $20M Series A financing. He is currently a senior advisor for the Merck Global Health Innovation fund, and a co-Founder and board member of Start-up Delaware. Jon's retail experience includes Dir. BDev. for Harrods in London.

Joe brings a wealth of domain knowledge and experience starting 23 years ago as a Giant Eagle Pharmacy Manager and progressing to Director of Pharmacy Technology, a position he held for 5.5 yrs and included: strategy, operations, sourcing, & contracting. Joe just closed the sale of his wife's pharmacy business to CVS, and completed the corporate restructuring and strategic planning of the remaining businesses. Joe has a BS Pharmacy from Duquesne.

Hank, as chief planning officer of Humana, was the strategy architect for the company's diversification from hospitals to health insurance. He served as the chief operating officer of Humana Health Plan during its start-up and national roll-out. Following Humana, the experience he gained as a consultant to the healthcare industry provided the creative insight for a user-centered approach to healthcare that is the guiding principle of PHRQL.

Beth worked at the University of Vermont for 16 years, researching and developing an online behavioral weight management program (Vtrim) that replicated gold-standard in-person programming.  Her research has won awards and is well sited. As a RD, she has counseled people extensively in-person and online in group and individual settings.    She holds a Master’s in Nutrition from the UVM and a BS in Nutrition from The Penn State University.
