Photonic Engines Inc. was established in 2013 to
leverage the patented Barium Titanate (BaTiO3) Thin Film Waveguide
Modulator technology, developed by Dr. Bruce Wessels of Northwestern
University, for next generation optical subsystems and silicon compatible
optical intra-chip interconnects. The optical modulator is the key bottleneck for increasing bandwidth and higher speed data transfer.
