PEC is also deeply involved in research to improve this recently discovered landrace to an organized energy crop. PEC processes seed for oil used as raw material for renewable and aviation jet fuel. High protein meal is used for animal feed.

    Sudhir has over 42 years of experience managing businesses as an entrepreneur and as a corporate executive. Sudhir founded Pennycress Energy Company LLC and Arvens Technology, Inc. to develop a ‘Farm to Fuel Pump’ business. He formed collaborative relationships with USDA and Universities to develop Pennycress technology. Sudhir has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology and MBA from State University of New York.

He has successfully worked in management positions at Evonik, a global chemical manufacturer.     Regional Director Ag (South)

    Kevin is a 5th generation farmer based in Southern Illinois. He is responsible for co-coordinating the farming operations in Southern Illinois. He himself plants about 1500 acres with Corn and Soybean and is a very enthusiastic Pennycress grower himself.

  • Raymond Gillen
    Regional Director Ag (West)

    Ray is a 4th generation farmer based in Western Illinois. He is responsible for co-coordinating the farming operations in Western Illinois He himself plants more than 1200 acres with corn and soybean and is a very knowledgeable backer of Pennycress program.
